In the beginning was a classroom...an empty classroom devoid of color and life. Then came me...the teacher of all this. I will refer to myself, to protect the innocence of all involved, as Chameleon, or Cami for short. I am a high school English and reading teacher. I have spent ten years in the same building sharing my day with freshmen and sophomores mostly. This year I have the privelage of piloting a new class with freshmen through seniors. That has certainly been an experience. Sometimes we laugh, sometimes we cry, and mostly I yell while they ignore me, because they're teenagers. But overall, this has been the best experience of my teaching career, as well as the most fulfilling.
I will use code names for everyone, including myself, to protect them. My name is Chameleon... my students chose this. I constantly change my look...the hair color, style and clothes. Also, I have this way of blending in the hallways and catching kids when they don't think I am watching.
